During Carnival, Clash Royale downloads drop by 47%. Instead of competing with Brazil’s biggest celebration, we decided to become part of it. We asked the community who should be crowned in the kingdom, and an unexpected movement emerged: players wanted a Queen, not a King.

The most requested name? Ivete Sangalo.

So we brought the community’s wish to life by creating, inside the game, the Queen Ivete Sangalo character a brand-new card with visuals and powers inspired by the artist. The Queen took over the arenas, gained emotes, animations, and became a milestone in Clash Royale’s universe.

Meanwhile, outside the game, Ivete carried the reign to the streets, turning Carnival into the perfect stage for the action. With zero paid media, we generated over 4 million in earned media and broke records in visits, downloads, and brand engagement.

An epic reign that began in the game, exploded at Carnival, and made history.
